Businessman With Paper

Comic - Businessman With Paper

Author Commentary

I wrote this one based on the fact that this totally looked like a guy who would totally do some sort of corporate gimmickery like this.  I started with a "sell me this piece of paper" direction, but when that went nowhere I thought of the blank resume idea and figured I could build to a twist of some sort based on the character I'd decided this guy was.  This strip isn't going to go down in history as one of my favorites, but I think it's grinworthy.

It'll go down as one of my favorites. I think it's one of the funniest ones yet! XD

And the company DID make a small fortune from the fire in the insurance settlement....

That must have been some meeting. "I need somebody to burn down the building and dance around the flames in a chipmunk costume. Rather that just assigning this to the least valuable employee, I'm going to allow the most valuable employee to volunteer. So who is willing to take one for the team?"

@Brass Orchid has written the text to a prequel PartiallyClips!

you could have skipped the chipmunk outfit bit. It seemed a bit predictable and...trite? The last line definitely won me back though. Pure gold.

And in other news, I am becoming ever more convinced that eggnog actually IS zombie milk. Yee-Hah!

The first line in the last panel sort of reminds me of the comic with the sculptor. It has the same sort of rhythm to it. Not necessarily a bad thing, it's still a funny joke.
