Man Carrying Rifle

Comic - Man Carrying Rifle

Author Commentary

Aside from replacing "fabulous" with "devastatingly dapper," this is the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this piece of art, and it amused me enough to bring it to my wife, who approved thusly:

MRS. SHOEBOX'S ASSESSMENT OF TODAY'S STRIP:  That's...really dumb.  And funny.

It's been a weird week, what with the Superbowl and a snowpocalypse and the announcement of Faith No More tour dates and a quad-core 900MHz Raspberry Pi with forthcoming Windows support and me listening to the Ramones while driving to get blood drawn for a cholesterol check this morning and then finding myself having to hold back from screaming "phlebotomy! phlebotomy!" in the waiting room and my wife's car getting rear-ended in a Wegmans parking lot a couple of hours ago (she's fine, no worries.)  But we seem to have survived all of this, and if you're reading this, then you probably did too, so good on ya.

...Also I seem to have added the phrase "good on ya" to my vocabulary, as this is the second time I've found myself using it in the last couple of days.  I can neither explain nor justify this.

Anyway, see you glorious people next week!

Windows on a RISC system? Well... now I have to ask... how did the elephant ever get into your pajamas?

Alternate ending: They didn't fit him very well.

Have you come into contact with any Australians recently? They're the leading cause of saying "good on ya, mate!"

Not as devastatingly dapper as did the elephant, perhaps.
But devastatingly dapper all the same.
We're still holding Groucho on suspicion of funny.

A snowpocalypse still counts as weird? I actually saw a forecast which essentially said, "The novel thing about this next storm is that it won't be a blizzard. There will be good visibility during the heavy snow."

“Good on ya” is a traditional Australian salutation, so I can only surmise that you've been around Aussies, or have been watching Aussie TV shows.

Tsk tsk, my dear chap. Do you not know that it is spelt pyjamas?

My cursed browser sides with you, though, and gives me the vulgar American.
